The Amadea, valued at an estimated $325 million, is no ordinary vessel. Seized by U.S. authorities in Fiji in 2022, it has since been in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
The yacht formerly belonged to Suleiman Kerimov, a Russian billionaire and senator. The auction follows a March judgment of forfeiture issued by U.S. District Judge Dale Ho in the Southern District of New York.
